Lady Liberty Rose
"The negative after effects of my abortion surrounded me like prison bars for twenty years before I received healing."
-Julie Weber, Founder & Director, Liberate Ministries
The inspiration for the name Lady Liberty does not come from the Statue of Liberty, as some people understandably assume. It comes from a very special white flower.
When I was going through my abortion healing class, my husband, Jeff, surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of white roses called Lady Liberty.
I was so happy with my gift I wanted to find out more about white roses, and I discovered they symbolize innocence and purity.
I realised that, prior to healing, I hadn’t felt innocent and pure for a long time. Now though, with the new beginning that healing was giving me, it was once again possible to live purely and innocently, in God’s eyes.
Experience the beauty of being set free
As well as representing the innocence of a beautiful white flower, liberate literally means to be set free from imprisonment and bondage.
To the millions of women, and men, held captive by the after effects of their abortion experience, hope, healing and restoration are possible.
At Liberate Ministries, we identify with the goals of Jesus:
The Spirit of God, the Master, is on me because God anointed me. He sent me to preach good news to the poor, heal the heartbroken, Announce freedom to all captives, pardon all prisoners. God sent me to announce the year of his grace–a celebration of God’s destruction of our enemies–and to comfort all who mourn, To care for the needs of all who mourn in Zion, give them bouquets of roses instead of ashes, Messages of joy instead of news of doom, a praising heart instead of a languid spirit. Rename them “Oaks of Righteousness” planted by God to display his glory.
